Our Mission

We are dedicated to restoring the hurt, broken & otherwise unwanted dogs, puppies, cats, & kittens. Many of the animals we rescue come from unfortunate circumstances. Once rescued, we provide a loving & safe environment until we find a place they can call home.

About Our Dogs & Cats

We tend to rescue those that would not have a good chance in public shelters. Many come to us fractured, sick or defeated. However, once they know they are safe and loved, we see completely different animals that have an unlimited amount of love to give!

Assessment, Training, & Rehab

It is of the utmost importance for us to control the training environment for our dogs. For this reason, the Sanctuary is not open to the public. Individuals that show up unexpectedly, can cause over excitement among the dogs. In some cases, this type of commotion may cause a fight to breakout between the dogs. This can be dangerous for both dogs & the people around them.

What is a Foster Based Rescue?

Our dogs & cats live with a Foster Family until they are they are placed in a Forever Home. We do not have a single location that is open to the public. All Meet & Greets with our dogs & cats are by appointment only.

100% Volunteer Based

Our entire Team is made up of volunteers that help by donating their time & skills. Volunteering is the single most precious gift of all. Please consider making a difference in the lives of helpless animals and show the compassion they have likely never known. Socialization is a critical aspect to helping them be more adoptable. & below are the ways you can make a difference.

Supported by Donations

AH Rescue Sanctuary is funded entirely by public donations & volunteers. Your support is vital to make a lasting difference in the lives of the dogs & cats we rescue. In order to maintain our ability to save highly adoptable animals, we depend on your generosity & contributions. Donations to us are also tax deductible to the extent the law allows.

Giving Back to the Community

We help control growth of community cat colonies by trapping, fixing & re-releasing. We will find homes for any cats that are people friendly & tame.

Our Compassion Foster program helps those families facing hard times. They don’t want to give up their furry family members. We help by fostering their pets for a short period of time.

We pull from public shelters, typically those that are on the euthanasia list. Not only does this give them the best chance at finding a forever home, but it frees up resources, so the shelter can help other animals in the community.

Non-Profit Animal Rescue

AH Rescue Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and relies solely on charitable contributions to achieve its mission & AH Rescue Sanctuary does not receive any financial assistance from local, state, or federal governments & our goal is not only helping homeless dogs & cats, but to build a stronger community around us.
